About Us

Who Are We?

Southampton Days Committee is a unique community service organization that organizes and creates the Southampton Days annual July 4th Celebration for the enjoyment of the whole family. Activities include, Independence Day Parade, Independence Day Fireworks, Southampton Days Country Fair and the Southampton Days Annual Book.

Events provide fun for the whole family. Games, rides and entertainment for small children. Rides and entertainment for teens. Bands for teens and adults along with food, crafts, children’s games and bingo for everyone.

The event is organized so that other community organizations can raise funds and advertise their services. By providing our community organizations the opportunity to promote their organization, everyone in our community can benefit.

Who Benefits?

 The week long Country Fair is an opportunity for many community service organizations to raise funds for the group. Below is a list of just a few who benefit;

  • Lions Club
  • Kiwanis Club
  • Southampton Business & Professional Association
  • John Danenberger Scholarship Fund
  • Friends of Tamanend
  • Boy’s and Girl’s Scouts of America
  • Southampton Girls Softball

Other donations are also made to organizations that assist the fair.

We are a non-profit organization. Funds are raised to provide bands and entertainment both during the parade and each night of the fair.

What Can You Do?

Southampton Days Committee spends many hours preparing for our annual week long event. Unfortunately there are not enough people that are willing just to help for a few hours. Volunteers are needed for many aspects of our event from:

  •  selling ride tickets
  • working at our booths
  • setting up the weekend before
  •  breaking down Sunday after
  • Cleaning up the field on July 5th (we pay $ by the hour)

If you are a business in the surrounding communities we ask that you place an ad in our annual Southampton Days booklet that has been a huge success from its inception and is read throughout the community. You can also become a sponsor of Southampton Days.

Get involved! Meetings for the Southampton Days Committee are held the first Thursday of every month at the Farmhouse located in Tamanend Park at Second Street Pike & Maple Ave in Southampton
